Friends of the Long Beach Animals Casino Night
Les and his wife, Sherry, attended the 36th annual casino night gala for the Friends of the Long Beach Animals at the Grand event center. Animal lovers from all neighborhoods gathered to save the lives of abandoned pets.
Last Glimpse of Summer
Rotarians gathered at Marine Stadium, a popular public space in Long Beach, to savor the last bit of summer with music courtesy of the Tijuana Dogs.

Frank and Kiran attended the district 5320 Interact social at Doheney Beach. Interactors from Sato Academy also attended the event, as well as Reed, who recently returned from the Rotary Exchange program in Denmark.

Les and Ken were at the shower program for the homeless at St. Luke’s this morning. Julie gave them a tour of the garden.
Governor Craig Visits
Governor Craig visited our club this morning and shared his vision for this Rotary year. He wants us to deepen our connection with existing members and reach out to potential new members.

Ken visited the Rotary International Headquarters in Evanston, Illinois this summer.
National Night Out 2025
Half of our club participated in the National Night Out organized by the Signal Hill Police tonight. We promoted our club and the Mutt Run and built new bridges with other community partners.
Reed’s Danish Exchange
Reed, Frank’s son, returned from his year-long Rotary exchange program in Denmark. It expanded his horizon and inspired him to be a global citizen. It also showed him the power of a group of passionate do-gooders and our dedication to enrich young lives all over the world.
Reed shared his experience and gave us a glimpse of this power, enough to encourage many of our members to host future foreign students as well.
Sunday Dog Walk
Les invited all members of our club and his friend Ash to have a group dog walk at Gum Grove Park on a cool summer Sunday morning. This is his dog’s favorite place, which makes it his favorite place as well.
All the humans reveled in each other’s company and the dogs enjoyed the scents of nature all around us.
